LUNCH 19

Leftovers

Systems have metabolisms, so nothing really disappears without a trace. The by-products, the crumbs, the rubble - all leftovers.

What do we make of these loose ends and unswept corners? Is the "best if used by" date merely a suggestion? Sure, it might get a little moldy, but on the other hand, some things taste better after sitting for a while.

And anyway, that's what's for lunch.

So - got any morsels wrapped in tinfoil? A reheatable idea? Enough leftovers to share? We want whatever's in the back corner of the fridge.

LUNCH, the UVA School of Architecture's design research journal, is seeking submissions of written and visual work for its nineteenth issue.
